No real pictures of this upgrade and for that you should be grateful. Our little Philly abode is sporting a new sewer pipe. The old pipe was not strictly failing, but it was the original pipe and 90 years old so it could "go at any time." We decided to have it replaced before we start on the front "yard" renovations. "Yard" is being generous; the space between the street and our front door is pretty limited.
We can now rest easy - our waste is flowing well and won't be oozing, leaking or blocked any time soon.
The only evidence of this accomplishment, which is buried deep below the ground, is the nice pile of debris in our front "yard" and the brand new sidewalk section Rob put in - it's the nicest one on the street. I was skeptical about his need for a cement mixer (really!?) but it turns out it has come in handy and made short work of replacing sidewalk sections. How often that will be necessary remains to be seen.
